Beware! Harper's Playing Nice

Why would Harper decide to talk to the premiers when he wouldn't give them the time of day before? Well, he has a big problem and 'no plan' so he achieves two ends, he picks everyone's brain (as he has always done - with Dion, Manley, Emerson, Charest) and then if everything goes well, he pretends it was all his own doing and if it fails, he can say it was everyone's fault. And more, now he can go out into the world, where they aren't quite as stupid as the Canadian people have been lately, and try and impress them that he is representing a truly Canadian position, not a US one. Clever like a fox, but not clever enough to actually come up with his own ideas.

Harper and the The Door Knob

I always think of two little boys each pulling on one door knob on either side of the door, then one lets go and the other falls on his fanny. Well Harper won and where is he, not talking to the wonderful people who voted him in or to the others who got stuck with him - he's fallen on his fanny. As Dion said, he has no plan! And the media, I guess they haven't heard that Harper won, they're still pecking away at Dion. The loonie is below 80 cents, no one knows what's going on, Flaherty's bailing out the banks, even H.'s idol Bush has regular propoganda sessions with the people of the country, and the whole world is talking about revising capitalism from the ground up, and where is Harper - probably looking for more arts and culture cuts.

Only The Press Wants Dion to Resign - Check Them Out

Thank God for the Bloc, Thank God for Duceppe

Were it not for this wonderful province, everything our country stands for would be in jeopardy. Thank you Quebec.

And to all of you who voted for the cons, the future is on your head now.

And to Ujjal Dosanj, thank you for the best post-electioon moment - you echoed exactly how I feel - let the NDP and the Bloc support the cons now, it won't be you.

And to Mr. Dion. a man who believes in the health of society, the economy and the planet, and the first politician to deliberately run so many women, you offered Canada everything, and Canadians, probably many more men than women, preferred the guy thing - muscle instead of brains, tactic instead of heart, street fighting instead of decency, and war instead of peace. Thank you for giving so much of yourself.

The nasty little blogflies can gloat and call it sour grapes, but a great future was lost last night and I mourn the loss.

Good Luck to Liberals Far and Wide

As Dion has said, this is one of the most important elections ever for the future of this country. I hope we wake up tomorrow with a great future ahead of us.

Remember Those Journalists with Integrity and Intellect

I will never watch CTV again, nor use their website - that bs with the interview was a result of mr. H.'s bought minions trolling for dirt and all they found was a poor interviewer. Maybe one day, a real journalist will ask why Harper gave $40 million up front and $20 million per year to the so-called Human Rights Museum when he hates culture.

Actually this election has ended my life-long passion for politics on the media. I can't even enjoy Don Newman. They all fell so short it takes your breath away.

This election has taught me two things: if democracy is to work we need an election system that allows for the majority of Canadians to be heard in their government and we need a whole new network of communications. Perhaps the internet will be its base but it's hard to measure and too soon to tell.

On a positive note I think Dion is an amazing human being and we will be honoured to have him as Prime Minister.
