All partisanship aside, I really don't see how you could possibly think Canadians could warm up to Dion. People can't undetstand him when he speaks in English, and he comes across weak and inept.
I'm afraid Dion has passed the tipping point, and will find himself unable to rise in public esteem.
Backing down on the Throne Speech, after his hard edge of a week or two ago, has probably shot the last of his credibility. He will now be seen as an opportunist, as opposed to a leader for Canada.

Nothing else to say really except he will win if he gets to speak directly to Canadians through an interpreter.
