Nooooo!!
Yesterday he had a plane, today they say he's capitulating! I believe in Dion all the way but I'm getting more and more angry at what's going on. Doesn't he realize he has an obligation to rid us of Mr. H. as quickly as possible. Mr. H. is ruining this country - he has to go now. The Liberals' job is to get rid of him, if they don't, they are going to lose their base.

You're assuming that Dion can get rid of him now - it's questionable at this point in time.
What's time got to do with it?
lol...
Liberal kool-aid is just like Mr. Dion...
no substance
Time has absolutely nothing to do with it.
Go now, go in a month, go in 6 months, if it is still Dion at the helm of the good ship Liberal, that ship is going to sink....

"What's time got to do with it?"
Everything really. Mr Dion shoots his mouth off, then has to clarify or retract what he said (the polite term is "flip flopping"), rendering him ineffective as a leader. His best before date is rapidly approaching, if it hasn't arrived, and voters like yourself should probably take a closer look at the NDP or Green party if you are looking for a coherent election platform and governing philosophy on the Left.
Since the Right is now united behind a strong and coherent philosophy, platform and team, you may have to wait for 13 years before decay and hubris dissolve the current rendition of the Conservative Party.
I think Steffi is on the Conservative payroll.
Dion has incredible substance, he's being undermined by his peers and as for the lend us your vote NDP, they have done nothing but kiss up to Harper and trash the Liberals.
Why we should go to an election
1) We're polling competitively with Conservatives and are ahead in key provinces (Ontario and Quebec). The governing party usually loses even more points during an election, and this governing party will most likely lose points because of their terrible record.
2) The Budget is the best place for Dion to knock the Conservatives off their stride. The recent book published by Jim Prentice bombed and this shows a major weakness for the Conservative party.
3) Going to an election on the economy makes the most sense for Dion. The economy is the single best issue for Dion to champion during an election because it comprehensively covers the other major pillars of his platform - the environment (Research and Development, knowledge-based economy) and social justice (sharing the wealth and taking care of all Canadians).
4) Not going to an election on the Budget brings us to another contentious vote - Afghanistan. The media have pounded Dion on the issue and tend to side with Harper's version of the story where we need to establish "command and control" in that country. Signalling that we are willing to capitulate on the budget means we're also willing to capitulate on Afghanistan.
