The Left Thing

One of the reasons the extreme right is able to win anything is their comfort with playing dirty.So we should no longer say "The right thing" but rather "The Left thing". Case in point:Once Mr T puts in his new discrimination legislation, lefties will be able to ask plumbers, carpenters, the management of Safeway, for example, if they espouse fundamentalist anti-women religious beliefs and then decide whether or not to do business with them. But lefties don't believe in discrimination. So it is a win win for Mr T. Or maybe not, maybe some of us will be tempted to do it - just once - maybe a major corporation run by lefties will put some anti-right policies in place-hiring, purchasing, rentals, that sort of thing. Could get interesting.
