Ah, Mr. Flanagan

Sometimes the old cliches have a particular resonance - 'give him enough rope and he'll hang himself', well, Mr. Undermine Canada from Within, Mr. Patronize and Stick it to First Nations, Mr. Manipulate the Citizenry - too bad, you got caught with your hand in the cookie jar. By the way, has anyone read his "First Nations, Second Thoughts", it's really bad - who would have thought? - he's not very smart.

Have I missed a recent happening with Tom Flanagan?
I first became aware of Flanagan and others at U of Calgary Dept of Political Science listening to a Michael Enright interview with Shadia Drury in 2005. A link to it can be found on the right hand side of her website. http://www.uregina.ca/arts/CRC/
And I remember an article possibly in Walrus on Flanagan and his fellow profs. I find the whole Straussian influence in Canada to be quite fearful and have always thought this to be Harper's real secret agenda.

Rodney Venis, associate news editor of the Prince George Citizen, updates Harper's and Flanagan's successes of "undermining Canada from within" in an editorial on Mar 4, 2008 titled "Taking the Small View". I'd recommend his analysis.

When confronted with Flanagan's political plan for Canada, I heard Ken Dryden, after his speech at the LIb Leadership Convention very frustrated, say into the reporter's mike - "I want my Canada back."

Flanagan is one of the ones at the heart of the Cadman affair. Thanks for the updates.
