Thank God for the Bloc, Thank God for Duceppe

Were it not for this wonderful province, everything our country stands for would be in jeopardy. Thank you Quebec.

And to all of you who voted for the cons, the future is on your head now.

And to Ujjal Dosanj, thank you for the best post-electioon moment - you echoed exactly how I feel - let the NDP and the Bloc support the cons now, it won't be you.

And to Mr. Dion. a man who believes in the health of society, the economy and the planet, and the first politician to deliberately run so many women, you offered Canada everything, and Canadians, probably many more men than women, preferred the guy thing - muscle instead of brains, tactic instead of heart, street fighting instead of decency, and war instead of peace. Thank you for giving so much of yourself.

The nasty little blogflies can gloat and call it sour grapes, but a great future was lost last night and I mourn the loss.

You're gonna get a lot of flack for that comment, but not from me. The Bloc are far less dangerous than the Conservatives. It's the PQ, bot the BQ we need to worry about.

It's telling that you celebrate a bloc victory over a federalist party.

The Conservatives more dangerous than the bloc?

Give your head a shake.

Its nice to see you got Religion!!!
But, Harper has a Virtual Majority . . . the LPC will do his bidding for the next couple of years. They and Broke and Leaderless . . .

On the brighter side . . . the Green Shift worked!!!
Roy Spencer, U.S. science team leader for NASA's collection of satellite temperature data and principal research scientist at the University of Alabama at Huntsville's Earth System Science Center, says the climate system is not as sensitive to increasing concentrations of carbon dioxide as computer models suggest.
This would mean "that we have little to worry about in the way of man-made global warming and associated climate change," Spencer said in testimony to the U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee this summer. "And, as we will see, it would also mean that the warming we have experienced in the last 100 years is mostly natural. Of course, if climate change is natural then it is largely out of our control, and is likely to end – if it has not ended already, since satellite-measured global temperatures have not warmed for at least seven years now."
Spencer is author of the book, "Climate Confusion." He says mankind will one day look back at the global warming scare "as a gigantic false alarm."
Still, despite an ever-increasing number of scientists supporting Spencer's position, many politicians – and some scientists – insist the debate about global warming is over, that it is a matter of settled science.

Now you get to pick a new leader from the following . . .
Two failed NDP ex-Premiers
Another Professor
And a gaggle of Lawyers

Dosanj ran BC into the ground for a decade . . . we actually had negative population growth during his watch. They crippled industry and taxed us to death . . . he squeeked in by less than a hundred votes . . . too bad!!!

The leaderless, broke LPC will back the Harper govt . . . cause they don't want another election any time soon!!!

A CHANGED CLIMATE: EUROPE GOES COLD ON CLIMATE HYPE
-The Economist - October 2, 2008
Excerpt: Just 18 months ago the European Union promised to save the world from climate change. The heroic mood is gone now. In March 2007 Angela Merkel, the German chancellor and chairman of the summit, was a green champion. Today she sounds like a lobbyist for German business, listing the industries that must be shielded from the full costs of her package. In truth, almost every country has found reasons why the climate-change promises may be impossible to meet in their current form.

Could this be the end of the "Green Religion of GW"?

The Bloc are less dangerous than the Conservatives . . . this proves liberalism is a mental disorder!!!!

I agree! Dion showed himself to be a man of the people. An intelligent, caring, dignified person - perhaps too nice to be in the nasty political environment. He ran a good campaign, despite the hateful press, Harper's negative ads, and no backing whatsoever from his own party. Despicable - God forbid Ignatieff. Much respect for Dion, although I could not bring myself to vote for his party (despite being a 'liberal' from 1968 - gave up after Chretien sold us out)
