My Surprise

Today I was surprised to find how incredibly happy I was when I read the Decima poll results showing Harper's decline in public support and Canadians discomfort with his alliance with Bush. I realized my happiness was proportional to the gloom of depression that had recently taken me over, a gloom based entirely on the potential loss of my sense of this country and its collective sanity. But now I realize, as my daughter said, that one shouldn't underestimate Canadians.
