Flaherty's Boogeyman

Flaherty has been so busy manufacturing boogeymen that he forgot to get a haircut. Even given the low level of mental functioning and propensity for less than perfect truths we have come to expect from the cons, Flaherty's speech yesterday was pathetic. Either Canadians are so dumbed down that they are comatose or that charade of caring about the economy will have been received with amazement, so far as it is from the facts (Ignatieff hates the idea of a coalition) and so far from the scary prospect they hope to convey (none of the other three parties has done such an abominable job of managing our money as these guys). One can only wonder how we have come this low. The only people afraid of Flaherty's boogeyman are the cons themselves - after all coalitions have proved acceptable in Britain and Australia.
