The Strategy

This is how I read Harper's rationale for today's motion: the plan is to take, and make, every opportunity to turn Canada into a group of firewalled provinces, territories etc. This motion worked like a damn for his long-term agenda. It reminds me of the way Forestry plans its logging in a sensitive area. It consults on little scattered patches and then one day when they are all logged, you realize it was their intent all along to devastate the whole thing. We need to make sure we're seeing everything he does or says in the context of his ideology - don't ever think this leopard will change its spots.
