What I Want to Know Is ....
Simple question: it would certainly appear that Mulroney loves the interface between big business and politics, we know he is getting whacks of money for being on various Boards, Quebecor, ADM, etc., and until recently he's been Harper's mentor - so, what was Mulroney teaching Harper, and what was he getting in return?

I suspect that Harper's relationship with Mulroney was all about how to carve out a majority government. You have to remember, as big of a jerk as Mulroney is, he still delivered the biggest majority government in Canadian history. He must have been doing something right.
What i want to know is why so many old time liberals are supporting KHS? Why is Lalonde paying part of his bail? Why does Bob Rae want to limit the scope of the inquiry to exclude the dealings of former liberal cabinet ministers?
Could it be that it is really the liberals who have a few skeletons in the closet on this file?
Should have just shipped the old boy back to Germany..i am afraid this is going to cost a few jobs in the liberal media and millions of dollars to CBC and Thibeault..
I seem to recall Harper clearly stating to Dion "careful what you wish for".
What I see is high level Liberals going into damage control mode.
Politicians would be naturally anxious to meet a guy who doles out money like KS did... Libs held the reins for 13 years.

Jul 1988 Air Canada purchases 34 Airbus airplanes. Coincedent?
In 1993, Shrieber , deposited $500,000 of the secret commissions he received from European companies, including Airbus. Swiss bank account. In 1993 and 1994 Schreiber met with Mulroney three more times in hotels in Montreal and New York, delivering cash payments totaling three hundred thousand dollars.
Mr. Mulroney in 1996 said he only had coffee “once or twice” with Mr. Schreiber after leaving office in 1993. Is coffee a codeword in the business industry for payment?
Why did Mr. Mulroney get money from Mr. Schreiber?
I understand why Mr. Mulroney waited until the fall of 93 to accept any money, it would have been totally wrong if he was still in office.
