Kudos to Oliver and Taber

I still can't believe what I saw: Craig Oliver taking on Sandra Buckler on 'Question Period' - it was brilliant. She sent a formal complaint on a blackberry I guess during the show that they had not accepted Jason Kenny as her replacement for the finance minister or the minister of the environment (who had been invited on the show to discuss the Liberal green shift plan). Craig pointed out quite firmly that they did not want to interview the minister of multi-culturalism and that ms. buckler was not the producer of 'queston period'. A forceful and commendable delivery on his part!

What difference does it make who the conservatives have doing the interview. I for one am interested in getting the truth of what this proposal means to me. I am really sick of all this political crap. They still get to control the questions and refute the answers. What are they afraid of?

Well we all know the conservatives aren't smart enough to really discuss the issues - I gave up listening to their nonsensical blather long ago. But the media publicly standing up to the PMO (and CTV at that) - that I haven't noticed before. This takes on the whole PMO strategy - which is to rotate the blah blah pitbulls through talk duty. What Craig said was that they wanted to interview the minister in charge, not the pitbull of the week.

Kenney's job wouldn't be to debate the CON and Liberal policies; they've avoided discussing their platform almost completely. What platform? Well, it was ridiculed by economic and environmental experts. The CON act on the world stage regarding climate change has been essentially to do the blocking for Big Oil.
Kenney's job was to bluster and blubber about 'Tax on Everything.' That kind of defeats a dialogue, and is, as evident by the times the show has taken the Gov't's chosen pitbull, almost a partisan pile on.
But hey, i'm sure most CON-heads think the secretary for multiculturalism knows a lot about hot air.

I'm glad to see the media finally starting to stand up to Harper's bullying.

Let's just hope Jane and Craig don't have that greenshift.ca lady on next week. This controversy over our website isn't good. If she doesn't like our plan by fighting with her only more people are going to find out that a independent environmentalist doesn't agree with us.

I don't want to see that start happening.
