The Image of Men Throwing Rocks at Women
I just can't get that image of the Afghan men surging forward to beat up on the peacefully protesting Afghan women out of my mind - in the same week a young Canadian woman died thinking she was fighting for a better life for all Afghans. It's time to get out of Afghanistan completely, let the middle east try and oppress half the human race - they'll self-destruct trying and then they'll realize an oppressive male chauvinist society can never flourish. Let them suffer for their mistaken ways instead of Canadian soldiers.

Yes, horrible image indeed* but then, we were never in Afghanistan for the 'official story' then were we. Very sad *any* Canadian had to die there.
Back to the men throwing rocks at women, ya we're often blind to *our* societal treatment of women. How about men oogling at girl children in beauty pageans? People in glass houses, get my drift?

Never heard of the man and after reading your link I'm glad I never knew of his existence. Well there are lots of countries in the world where men have the right to oppress women, maybe he should head off to one of them. I'm dismayed that in this country he is not reviled.
Worse than not being reviled, Susan, he is cherished by the social conservatives.
