More Electioneering at the Taxpayers' Expense

Received another piece of conservative junk mail - this one was as close to campaigning in an election as you can get - it had a picture of a ballot on it! Why are the cons allowed to spend our money for con party purposes? Where does one register a complaint about such practices?

I dunno, why does Garth Turner keep sending me spam e-mails when I never once signed up for any of his newsletters or advertisements of upcoming events in his riding. I live in Saskatoon for crying out loud!

A good start would be to write the editor of your local newspaper - over and over again if you have to.

To the Grumpy(misinformed) voter, The Honourable Garth Turner sends invitations to events that he feels could help educate Canadians about the misinformation and attacks the Conservative have launched against the "Green Shift Plan". Furthermore if you followed his blog he addressed this issue and explained that if people email him various comments, then he feels he can legitimately email them back especially for christmas cards and various events. In your case and other C.R.A.P. bloggers who comment with insults, lies, and misinformation meant to discredit his efforts to unify Canada and keep Canada for Canadians (not American interest groups). I find it appalling that this Conservative government has spent as much money on advertising their own partisan agenda, every government web-site has a sales pitch to promote con M.P's and every announcement has a sales pitch to help specific Conservative ridings. As an interesting project, last night I decided to compare the previous occupations of the various members of parliament. I found most of the Conservative came from a background of insurance, promotions, advertising, consulting, in short careers that require selling either a product or themselves. In contrast I found most Liberals to have backgrounds in education, law, business management, public service, in short a more educated type of vocation, just an interesting observation.

Frankly Canadian, where did you find all that information about their previous occupations, out of curiosity?
