More Silly Nasty Games
Flanagan said it flat out, with his weird little smirk, Harper is trying to systematically destroy the Liberal party. Interesting the whole planet is in an economic crisis and Harper has only this one mission in life. Now towards this end he wants to end party financing, - translated, destroy the opposition and ergo democracy. So you Canadians who voted for this nasty piece of work, someday you will finally realize that this guy has a very limited agenda and it doesn't include Canadians well-being one iota. Stevie one-note.

I think it's brilliant. Political maneuvering like this is shallow and mean-spirited and loses the government's focus on policy and solutions, but still - this time, I have to say that it's incredibly clever. Tough spot for all opposition parties with votes - I'm curious to see how they'll respond. It's sort of a Sword of Damocles situation -- which is probably why you're feeling so emotional and anxious about it. Not being a partisan, I don't have any deep personal investment in the matter like you do. But the end of democracy? Come on now, not even you believe that.
This will not destroy democracy you loony moonbat.
Political parties should be funded by the citizens that support them, not the taxpayers who don't...that is democracy.
If it means the death of the LPC, well that's too bad. I guess they should have worked on appealing to their grassroots instead of Power Corp all these years.
Well I guess you guys are proof that people just don't get it until it's too late.
